To learn how to juggle with balls, its best to learn with balls specifically designed for juggling. If you do not yet have a set of JuggleFit balls, you can use small oranges that weigh about 5 oz. While these will roll away when dropped, at least they won't bounce like tennis balls. Constantly chasing after balls can affect the focus required to learn.

Most people find it easier to learn first with juggling scarves. This enables you to get the pattern solid in 'slow motion' and learn with objects that are easy to grab, providing the basis of juggling with balls. It's kind of a proof of concept before moving onto balls. Juggle Your Way to Fitness Beginner Level includes a free set of juggling scarves you can use to follow along with the DVD.
